Our Story

A Family Tradition of Soul

Lawrence's Soul Food & Grill began on the Westside of Chicago, Illinois, where the Late Henry Henderson first shared his love of Southern cooking with the community. From a small family kitchen, he built a reputation for food made with patience, pride, and a whole lot of love.

His son, Lawrence Henderson, Sr., joined him as a young man and worked diligently by his dad's side, learning the recipes and traditions that would one day carry the family name forward.

Today, Lawrence's Soul Food & Grill continues that legacy in Country Club Hills, serving the same soul food classics Henry perfected — honoring the past while welcoming every guest like family.
